Help Keep This Thing Alive
Good things don’t materialize out of thin air.
Spooky Doings is growing one gathering, experiment, collaboration, and wonderfully strange idea at a time. Donations give us a little more freedom to say yes to ideas that might otherwise never make it out of the shadows.
Your Help Goes a Long Way.
Every contribution helps us make the next Doing a little more possible. Depending on what we’re conjuring up, your support may help cover:
Materials and supplies for hands-on activities
Venue and space rental
Equipment and event production costs
Guest speakers, artists, demonstrators, and performers
Printing, signage, and promotional materials
Accessibility and event accommodations
Website, ticketing, and organizational expenses
Unexpected costs that inevitably crawl out of the woodwork
Whether you throw five bucks into the cauldron or make a larger contribution, it all gives us more room to experiment.
Money Isn’t Everything
Sometimes the most useful contribution is a room, a projector, a stack of folding chairs, an unusual skill, access to an interesting location, leftover materials, printing, photography, equipment, transportation, or simply knowing the right person.
If you or your organization has something that could help make a future Doing possible, tell us about it.
For Businesses & Organizations
We’re also open to sponsorships, in-kind contributions, event support, and other creative arrangements with businesses and organizations.
We'd rather build interesting relationships than slap logos everywhere. If you have an idea for how your organization could support something we're planning, reach out and start a conversation.
Why Donations Matter
Weird Ideas Need Resources Too.
Some of the best gatherings aren't necessarily the ones that make the most financial sense.
We want room for the niche idea. The obscure presentation. The artist with something unusual to demonstrate. The tiny gathering that only twenty people might understand but those twenty people will absolutely love.
Community support gives us the ability to take those chances.
It helps us make decisions based on “Would this be interesting?” instead of always having to ask “Will this pay for itself?”
